All DLNS programs use the Adult Learning Program, a curriculum of the Nova Scotia School for Adult Learning.

Through funding from the Nova Scotia Department of Education's Community Learning Initiative, DLNS offers two literacy programs:

Volunteer Tutor Program (one-to-one tutoring)
Deaf Literacy Program (classroom instruction)
