The Volunteer Tutor's job is to facilitate the Learner's goals.

A good Tutor:

Is responsive to the needs of the individual Learner
Respects the Learner and appreciates that the Learner brings skills and prior knowledge to the learning experience
Is creative in adapting teaching methods to suit the individual Learner's needs
Is enthusiastic and willing to keep learning
Can give constructive feedback
Open to the Learner's suggestions
Is well organized for each lesson
